Diary of a Wimpy Kid Old School by Jeff Kinney

A story about Greg going on a trip to Hardscrabble Farms to avoid being told off by his dad.

This book is full of craziness and unexpected tales of Silas Scratch.Jeff Kinney is very good at describing what parents and children would actually do in real life. One example of this is when Greg goes to Hardscrabble Farms before his dad comes home from his buisness trip and sees the crashed part of his car.Jeff Kinney cleverly describes the cabin they sleep in.For example, the book says that it was pretty clear whoever had our cabin last didn’t bother cleaning up themselves. My favourite character is Julian because he outsmarted the teachers by making them think he ate his deodrant. The action scenes are entertaining, such as when they sneak out of their cabin to see if the girls still have their own deodrant.I particularly enjoyed the part where Greg and the boys took the teacher’s bag instead of a girl’s bag and found the teacher’s underwear in it.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Old School is really adventourous story full of unexpected things.I would thouroughly recommend this book to year 4 to year 7 because some parts are not suitable for younger readers. If you enjoy reading adventure books, you will love this story.
